New Media Art Performances

"Could New Media Art Performances completely replace traditional Art Performances?"

Personally I don't think that something could ever completely replace something else because everything has something different to offer. Although I do believe that yes some things can be more popular than others at certain times but its never completely gone because  there are artist that rely and traditional art and that's what they like

The inheritance/New Media Art Performing: The art performing was a form of art that's made in the way of digital art and projection while an individual dances and acts with the production and uses a light to guide the art. Personally I think its really cool how you can make things like that and just bring them to life.

Media Hall Projection Mapping: They're using projectors to make this array of colors that flash on and off. I think that its similar to the inheritance one just that the projecting mapping is simpler in the art department but its more flashy almost like flashing lights you'd see at a party of club.

D'strict: D'strict also shows projection, it shows art and a lot of nature related things like water. They also show Disney scenes and make it seem very realistic and there's a lot of movement going on and collected. I really like this form, its very realistic looking and makes you in a way feel that you're there.

Public Media Art #5 "ART PERFORMANCES": They show hope for diversity and change by playing videos of people interacting, touching, being loving, which I really love. I think its an amazing way of getting a big message out, it catches peoples attention and makes them think about the message behind it.

New Media Art: The playlist kind of had a little bit of everything that I've seen so far, it had lights and moving figures, projections and so on.

New Media Drama- Fusing modern technology and traditional art: This form if projecting was also very cool, a bit like the first one where they use their bodies as sensors to move the art around. The only difference with this form was that it had more of a minimalistic feel, there was a lot of sort of line work and black and white involved to create a story.

New Media Performance/Tiffany Trenda Mindshare LA: This form of digital art I really loved, it amazed me! Tiffany uses a form of of a robot suit and puts them out in the public and makes them accessible for people to communicate by asking questions with devices like cellphone that are attached to the figure. They can project anything like your features by scanning them and using them as their own or affirmation and motivational quotes.

Klnetic Traces: "Projections" 2005 (Performance, New Media, Live Drawing/Painting): This form of art is also very interactive, they use choreography, dancers, and musicians to make this live painting where it draws not only on the screen but also on the individuals performing to project a performance in a digital and colorful way.

Digital Media Art Streaming Festival PERFORMANCE ON SCREEN: This art mixes the form or digital art and traditional art, they seem to be pieces made by hand and then photographed and edited with photoshop or some sort of video editor and convert the piece to a whole different color like blue and give it a whole new feel to it.

New Media Artist: The form of art that they produce is a bit like a mix of all of them and the performance on a screen one, it gives you a big selection of things to do like projecting but also interacting as well as sometimes having that mix of new media /digital art and traditional art. They use things like coding and chipping to make these cool effects while projecting their art.

BalamSotoStudio: In BalamSotoStudio they use the body and the sound to also make projections and create movement much like the first form and video that was listed.

YouTube Home New Media Art Performing Avatar image Jeremie Belingard, Keiichiro Shibuya, Adrien M & Claire: For this performance they use digital art screening in the background to make their show/performance just that much more magical, for example if they want it to rain it rains, if in their performance they want it to snow but they want it to go at the speed of their movement they can do that to create more tension and also create more emotion for themselves and also for the audience.

Audiovisual installation translates emotions into beams of light: Lastly this form of art is also really interesting, it translates your emotions by wearing this headband of some sort and it detects your emotions into a ray of lights. It allows you to "touch" the beams and has this sort of calming effect but also creates an illusion.

Favorites: I really loved the Districts, Public Media Art #5 "ART PERFORMANCES", New Media Drama- Fusing modern technology and traditional art, Klnetic Traces: "Projections" 2005 (Performance, New Media, Live Drawing/Painting), New Media Drama- Fusing modern technology and traditional art.

I chose these five specifically because I really love the messages they come with and try to put out into the public eye and how interactive they can be with the audience. I feel like there's so much purpose and there's really a goal they're trying to reach for growth and also education wise.
